Turquoise Mosaic On Burnt Red Decorative Plate | Glass Wall Hanging

This turquoise mosaic decorative plate is a variation on an earlier mosaic plate I did. The first turquoise plate, which can also be found on this page, is one of my most popular pieces. One day while I was making one of the turquoise plates for one of my favorite customers I stumbled upon this design. I was using a burnt red ceramic plate as the base for the mosaic and once I had gotten the center portion done I sat back and looked at the plate and I just loved the way the turquoise tiles popped out with the burnt red border. At that point I decided to leave the mosaic complete and I chose to grout the tile with a subtle mauve tint. I’m really happy with the final product! I hope you are too!
