This is a Mosaic Decorative Plate made out of Rainbow stained glass tiles. Handmade, set in white grout on a ceramic plate. Great for hanging on a wall or displaying on a table or shelf. This one of a kind planter is made of recycled and upcycled materials. The base of the tower stands on square wooden base . The tower itself was built up from a tube that is found at the inside of a roll of bubble wrap. The top of the tower is made of a plastic plant pot. The pot and tower base are handpainted and embellished with 24kt gold leaf! This planter is a great size and can be Displayed on the floor, in an entryway, near a fireplace, next to an end table, etc. Or it can be placed on a table or bench. With this project I decided to branch out a bit and get more creative. I wanted to give plant lovers more unique options for their indoor garden decor. I also wanted to test my creative sense and try to incorporate recycled and upcycled items into the design of this unique piece. The base stand is wood and is 8” in diameter'. This one of a kind custom decorative serving tray can be used as an ottoman or coffee table tray. It can be used in the bathroom to hold various items, or it can be used simply as a display piece all on it’s own. The outer shell of the tray is made of a strong and durable plastic. The tiles used in the mosaic design of this piece are mostly of ceramic. There are a few custom designed tiles built into every tray. These are made of resin material.  These handmade, vibrant designs are crafted with tiny crystallized chips place in sequence in order to complete a mosaic like design. This 10” plant stand is made of the more well-known light-colored Mother-of-Pearl tiles along with the much more rare black Mother-of-Pearl. The combination of the two contrasting Mother-Of-Pearl tiles makes for a stunning and unique display of elegant mosaic designs. Much of my time is spent trying to research and track down eye-catching pieces of glass and shells, many in the form of tiles. This one of a kind original design mosaic plate is a spin off on the Greek Mosaic Star Mosaic Plate. The two plates are similar except this one is a more basic design, displaying a more subtle color combination. Because of the planned simplicity of this piece the star is not quite as bold and the blue/purple iridescent background becomes eye catching and takes on a more bold appearance.
