I don’t think at the time I was really convinced of the color combination, that being orange, blue and purple, but it just goes to show that the old adage is true, “Don’t knock it till you try it!” A couple of different variations of these colors are pictured here. This absolutely beautiful piece is created out of cracked pieces of glass pieced together in a wonderful mosaic at the center of this large round platter. Along the outer edge are just a touch of beautiful speckles with an iridescent glow.. The idea for this piece came to me one night when I was sitting around after I’d finished one project and I had all these wonderful pieces of broken glass sitting on the table in front of me. I always say, “I you can take something that’s broken and piece it together and make it into something beautiful you’ve done something very worthwhile.” This platter measures 13” in diameter. This original freehand design mosaic piece of wall art is made of beautiful hand cut turquoise, pink and silver glass tiles set in bright white grout. I decided to stray from my normal mosaic designs here as I incorporated a lot more white space by way of bright white grout. I normally keep the tiles tightly pressed together side by side. I thought by incorporating the look of the grout ( which I also painted to give it an even fresher appearance) I could bring a different kind of creative look to my line of mosaic plates. This unique mosaic display plate is made with light multicolored tiles that are slightly raised so that they bubble in a way. This bubble design catches the light and makes a wonderful piece of wall art. These handmade, vibrant designs were some of my favorites to make. It is a mosaic design made with tiny crystal diamond shapes which really catch the light from every different direction. the tiny crystal are mounted on a medium colored wooden base with light colored wooden feet to support the base. I highlighted the crystal chip design with a mini multicolor iridescent tile mosaic. They are truly stunning!
