 This handmade, vibrant design was one of my favorites to make. This piece can be used as a decorative trivet/hot plate, an elegant base for a coffee mug, candle, or plant, or it can simply be used as a display, adding a beautiful, classic, and relaxing look to your home! In my household, it never occurred to me to buy new, decorative trivets. I always used the same tattered and worn trivets that were passed down and thrown around. My trivets were the resting place for many meals as my children were growing up. Recently, I have been designing these fun new trivets and in the midst of making them, I realize what a great addition they could be to someone’s kitchen, even as decoration.
